For college courses I'm taking, the instructor requires log files be kept of
assignments. For work I'm doing at home in R14, I'm having a problem
    creating log files.

I've created a folder in a certain location, mapped the location and path to
that folder in Tools>Preferences>Files> +Menu, Help, Log and Miscellaneous
File Names + Log Files. All that appears ok.I can type logfileon at the
command prompt and I've toggled Logfilemode from <0> to 1, but still no
    files are created.

In Tools>Preferences>General, I've also tried checking the box for "Maintain
a Log File", but am greeted with the warning: "Unable to open log file for
    writing".

Here's an excerpt from the AutoCAD Text Window:

    Command: logfilemode

New value for LOGFILEMODE <0>: 1

Cannot set LOGFILEMODE to that value.
    *Invalid*

    Command: logfileon

    Command: logfilemode

New value for LOGFILEMODE <0>: 1

Cannot set LOGFILEMODE to that value.
    *Invalid*

What am I doing wrong here? Does the location have to be in the AutoCAD\
Support directory? Currently it's not - I'm trying to route them to C:\My
    Documents\Blah-Blah\Log Files.
