I'm using WF2 and I have to approach the CMM programming.
Could someone suggest me any online tutorial or specific
forum which to get info from ??
    Thanks in advance

    Pier,

There is the cmm.pdf file on the Collection of Help Topics CD.

Right now, Pro/CMM is limited by it's inability to scan a surface.
Instead, it must go point-to-point. Wildfire 4 is going to address
    this shortcoming.

    Thanks Peter
    I know that doc.
It's "only" a standard PTC document.
I have to use /Pro/CMM to drive a CMM in order to check and qualify
    the geometry.
So I have to define the right probe path (point to point) in order to
drive the probe on CMM machine (via DMIS Format file) and measure the part.

My idea is to share ideas, opinion, tips and tricks in this newsgroup
    regarding this topic.
    Thanks again
    Bye

I think that's a great idea. Few here know anything about Pro/CMM. I saw it
work in the Motorola Model Shop but had nothing to do with setting it up.
Pier, looks like you're ahead of all of us. So what's your experience, tip
or trick? You didn't get as far as programming and learn nothing worth
    sharing, did you!?!

    Hi David,
I've had a pretty good experience in the past (many years go) regarding
measuring and controlling but using a different CAD and a different
    Quality Software.
In the past also experience on ProE Milling .
Now I have to start working on Pro/CMM. I know the basic functionalities
of ProCMM but I'd like to share ideas and tips to improve and speed up
    the knowledge process.
I hope other people be in my same situation to feed this topic.
    Bye

That was my hope, as well, since I stand to gain from such a discussion. My
idea was that other people would want to join this discussion, once someone
kicked it off, got it going, started talking about Pro/CMM, shared some
experience, familiarized people with what it is, what it does, a little
about how it works. I just thought that maybe that 'someone' would be you,
Pier. Know anyone else better qualified? Care to stick your neck out a
little? "Nothing ventured, nothing gained" so goes the saying. BTW, does CMM
check/verify whether GD&T Feature Control Frame criteria have been met?
