printing problems

here is the run down: we are running AutoCAD 14 on windows xp, we are printing to a hp deskjet 6122, we are printing 8.5 X 14 pages. the problem is, in a blank title block, the entire drawing will print and show in plot preview, but in another drawing where that title block has been inserted, the plot will cut off 1 or sometimes 2 lines on the title block - not print the entire drawing. If i checked plot to scale, it still will not print entire drawing. the dimensions for the title block are the same as my template title block. Is this a system variable setting that is causing this? out of 500 drawings, this only effects about 60. thanks in advance
