I just installed autocad 2004. Whenever I go to plot or plot preview I recieve this error message: "The final page size to be printed is invalid given the selected configuration for this printer."
The printer is configured to print these page sizes, infact with autocad 2002 I have no problems printing. The printer is an HP designjet 750c. Any advice is appreciated

I have this exact problem with Autocad 2004 running on Windows 98, printing
to a Designjet 650c. The message "The final page size to be printed is
invalid given the selected configuration for this printer." comes on the
screen three or four times, then eventually Autocad crashes. It works fine
    using any other printer.

I understand from your answers that this will not happen if I change to XP,
but the problem is I use another peice of software, no longer supported,
that doesn't run under XP. Does any body know if an upgrade to Win2000 will
    help?

We have been running 2002 on a Win 95 system with no problems, but with
2004, this error comes up with Win 98. I wasn't sure if it was my HP600 or
the OS. We did upgrade to XP Pro and have not looked back. I have 2004
running at home on an old computer with Win 98 and except for being slow,
    everything seems fine.

I think you should use this as an excuse to upgrade to XP Pro. When we did
it, we got a XP Pro system with a new hard disk ( they don't recomend using
    the XP upgrade.

The printing error only seemed to happen with the HP 600, not our lexmark
    printer or our HP1220C printer.
Not extremely current. The operating system is windows 98, do you suggest I
upgrade to a more current os? Thanks
