is it possible? or this should go to wish list?

sometimes it would be useful. to print (or save as) layout as seperate
drawing with all content visible in viewport.
the objects in viewport could be trimmed with express "extended trim". the
    rest should be purged .

    Work Arounds are possible:
-> configure a HPGL plotter (not an HPGL/2), i think the HP 7586B is a goo choise.
-> plot to it, plot to file, save it as a PLT file, uising any pen settings or color tabel you like.
->Use the bonus command "PLT2DWG" to convert it back to DWG. All objects will be "exploded" only colours remain.
But perhaps this is just what you need...

  4. www.leadtools.com has a printer driver that I think outputs in dxf or dwg
format also. Not sure how precise the output is.
