I'm in Los Angeles, and I usually use Ford Graphics to do my plotting. I've
recently discovered the joys of DWF but they or some of the other local
printers can't print DWF files... Does anyone know of a LA printer who
    does?

    Hi Randy,

If you cannot find someone in the LA area to do your DWF files, have Ford
Graphics contact us. We have a product called RePlot that other
reprographers use to batch plot DWF files. As long as they have a Windows
printer driver for that plotter, RePlot should be able to help...

For more information, go to: http://cadfx.com/replot.

  4. Many Print Shops have Repro Desk. If they do, you can use Océ Publisher to
batch process and send DWF files to Ford Graphics as LDF files. Repro Desk
can print the LDF files. Océ Publisher is available for free, as part of the
Océ Client Tools, which can be downloaded from
    http://www.oceplancenter.com/download.asp.

  5. We are a print provider on the East Coast that are affiliated with Ford Graphics. I just sent off an E-mail to Ford, to let them know you are experiencing a problem, and to help give them the solution to that problem.

Does anyone know if such a thing exist for Kip? I would love to be able to use dwf's instead of plts.

  9. KIP is another hardware manufacturer. Though KIP has announced plans to
create a process where DWF files could be FTP'd to Print Shops, we feel that
the Océ Client Tools coupled with the online ordering process of Océ Plan
    Center is a stronger offering.

While I appreciate Oce's official stance on the whole Kip thing, the copy house that serves my company only has a Kip and I would like to be able to send them dwfs. Any assistance or direction that anyone could pass on (aside from "find another copy house") would be helpful. Can they use composer with the Kip as a plotter? Any work around would be welcome.

  11. Why can't they just use the free DWF Viewer and print them with the system
printer? That should work even for large format sizes.

  12. They should be able to use the free viewer or have them check out Replot
from www.cadfx.com to print out batches of them.
