Hey all,... here's the question,.. (I did a quick search but came up
    with nuthin)
You have a project with multiple prt/asm's and drawings (sheets) and
you want to print a quick review of the files in your project on a
    small format.
Similar looking to thumbnail previews in explorer where the image of
the part and/or sheets are fairly visable (good enuf for review)?

And this could be in tiered order or asm structure for the asm's and/
or alpha numeric for drawings (sheets)?

Someone have some references,.. ideas,... or macro's (batch program, I
kind of remember someone doing this?)?

Personally, I want to quickly document the subdirectory and save it as
a PDF but the above asm order would be nice!

    TIA..

Well, I don't have Office Pro,.. and the macro needs Task Schedular
    which is part of PDMWorks.

And, I'm one of the unluckly bastards who bought FeatureWorks/Animator/
PhotoWorks,.. but has to pay FULL price for the upgrade to Office
    Pro????

I refuse to have to play that game,... fricken SW Corp assholes and SW
    VAR dickheads!!!!

  6. Personally, I would call up your VAR and ask for some help getting a better
deal on Office Pro. You've probably got a couple of VAR choices in Southern
California if your VAR isn't cooperative. If that doesn't work, you might
even want to get in contact with your SW area representative. Only if that
doesn't work would I start calling them assholes and dickheads!

    Jerry,

    Been there, done that...

As you and everyone know, I have no use for VAR's (never have ever
used them) and every year, they take my money,... YET, when I have
asked them, (I've asked them 3 times since Pro was released and, 2X
GoEngineer and 1X Cadgraphics).... and the answer was...... no
discounts. Wow, what does that tell you???? It's all about $$$$
to them. They do not know who I am or what I do and most of the
people I have talked with have NO IDEA HOW TO USE SOLIDWORKS (They are
    paper pushers!!!).
The kicker... (it just pisses me off) over the years... they have
incorrectly spelt my name, buniness name, billing address and shipping
address wrong over 4 times!!! I have had to spend over 12 hours (I've
logged this, in correctly these problems over the years! Also, it
took them over 8 months to fail at doing a VAR transfer! That's
right, they failed to properly submit the paper work I filled out and
they strung me along for 8 months telling me they were working on
    it!?!?!?!?

    These people are TOTALLY USELESS!!!

Now, what gets me is some fricken twit sales person gets a cut on
making this transaction,... and, I WILL NEVER EVER USE THESE PEOPLE.
    (except to make a transaction)

... (it's a corrupt and wasteful distribution model which I have no
use for... there is and NEVER HAS BEEN OF ANY VALUE!)

Well, I don't have Office Pro,.. and the macro needs Task Schedular
running 2006 here, task scheduler is a stand alone app, not tied to pdmw.

    just guessing here ...
if the macro needs pdmw, then the logical assumption is the macro uses pdmw
functionality to perform the task. so if your files are not in a pdmw vault
you are most likely sol with the aforementioned macro.

    Ken,

I don't see it in the SW2006 directories but I do see a empty /
    swscheduler sub directory (I assume it's "swscheduler.exe")?
Do you have the path to the exe (swscheduler)?

I cannot believe access to task scheduler requires Office Pro or
even Office for that matter. That is insane.

I always thought the tack scheduler should be packaged together with
sw explorer and should be included in all versions of sw.

  13. What about using swbatchprint from

    http://www.swcp3.com/

allows you to select any number of files and output them in a number of
different formats. Have not tried it yet myself but it may be what you need.

  14. OK, Paul. It looks like you have a perfect right to call them dickheads and
    assholes!
