Print is grey not black

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Chris Breidenbaugh, Dec 7, 2004.

  1. I have an HP500. I have a drawing that I created with Autocad
Electrical 2004. When I print this drawing (or any of the drawings I am
creating with 2004 electrical) the lines and text are a light gray. If
I then open the file in Autocad vanilla 2005 and print from there,
everything look fine. The lines and text are a nice dark black. I am
printing with the plot style table set to Monochrome on both programs.

Any ideas on how I can fix this so I get dark prints from 2004 Electrical???

    Sincerely,

it may be a problem with the driver for the plotter and your version of electrical CAD, We had to update the driver for our '05 CAD to plot properly.

  3. As far as I can tell plot style does not seem to have an effect.

I will try to obtain an updted driver and see what happens. BTW I am
not using the HP/GL2 card in this printer.
