pre simulation check

    hello,
    can anyone tell me is there a check that I can run prior to simulation
    to check if there are some errors going to be on the simulation like:
    double definition of a variable like sigma
    model files not suitable for the design
    or
    is there a way to recieve from simulation results the list of errors
    occurd or some thing like that?
    the point is to be able to indicate while running a simulation from a
    code whether the simulation is success or not and more important
    why...
