    Dear subscribers

I have a problem with AutoDesk Architectural Desktop Edition 2004 (ADT). I
have tested on a set of different computers all running the Swedish version
of Windows XP Professional sp 1 and the problem occurs on all of them. The
problem is that some of the Windows services don't start during Windows
boot-up as they are supposed to. The services are:

    Automatic Updates

    Computer Browser

    Server

    DHCP Client

.., and a whole bunch of other services.

These services must be manually started afterwards by a user with
administrative privileges in order to gain normal Windows functionality. I'm
positive that it has something to do with the installation of ADT on the
computers, since the problems occurs first (and immediately) after ADT is
installed. Prior to the installation of ADT the Computers have Office XP,
Acrobat Reader 6.0 and the Windows patches distributed by the Windows Update
service installed. Apart from that there is absolutely no other software.
Then ADT is installed, by a computer assigned group policy, and the
computers are rebooted. After the reboot approximately 20% of the computers
will have failing services. Every computer will eventually be affected by
this problem in what appears to be a random manner. I don't know if it may
have something to do with the fact that we're running a Swedish version of
    Windows.

Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards, Ola Theander
