I am able to create a PostScript PLT file by selecting a printer driver in
the plot dialog box that supports PostScript, and then plot to a file. My
problem is, regardless of how I change my settings in the plot dialog box
for orientation (landscape, portrait, rotation settings), my PLT file only
outputs in portrait. Has anyone encountered this problem? Any suggestions?

Also, I am not very familiar with working with print drivers. I understand
that AutoCAD ships with its own HDI PostScript driver. Can someone get me
pointed in the right direction in how a person can use this driver?

    Thank you,

  2. It's portrait because that is the native paper orientation of most
printers. The AutoCAD PostScript driver is more flexible at this point.
It depends on what you want to do with the PostScript files whether you
can use this driver. You load the driver with Plotter manager - Add a
plotter wizard. You can set it to output PostScript (PS) or Encapsulated
PostScript (EPS). In the latter case with or without preview image.
Again the choice depends on what you want to use it for.
