Problem:  a new postscript font I purchased appears only in outline form, unfilled.

I compiled the new pfb file to create the shx OK.  Textfill set to 1. Other files included w/ font package are pfm and afm--does "compile" use them?  The font looks and prints correctly in other Windows software. Using Windows 2000, AutoCad 2004.

  2. Compiling an PFB into SHX using the AutoCAD Compile command will
only produce an outline. You need to convert the PFB to Truetype
    or a filled SHX.

Thank you both. Plot settings are OK; it sounds like I need a little translation-conversion service or a software product to do it, or I need to buy the right font in the first place. This is a little lesson for me on why the "other version" of this font product costs more.
