I would like to find a plotter/printer that we can travel with. On
occasions we may do quick schematic drafting with the client at their
location. It would be great to be able to plot something at a decent size
    (24" wide).
So I am wondering if anyone has any experience in traveling with a B/W
    plotter/printer.

    thanks

The largest portable printers around are only A4 units, and as far as
schematics are concerned, they should be OK. I use a Canon BJC-85. It is
portable but still needs mains power and means an additional carry bag
for it, the cables and ink cartridges. Anyghing larger is going to be
quite cumbersome. When I am on the road and I need anything bigger, it
is PDF off to the local print shop.
