    Hello:

I'm generating a series of icons for use in Tools Palettes. I've configured
ADT 2005 to plot to PNG format. The resultant PNG files have a white
background. I'd like them to have a transparent background....

What, if any, AutoCAD color will map to .PNG transparent background?

    Thanks in advance,

Are you sure that PNG can have transparant colour ?
I use the freeware IrfanView to convert every graphical format, and only GIF has transparant, with colour 0.

So if possible, it would be Colour0, but i thing you need a graphical program (like PaintShopPro or so) to enable the transparancy...

    Fred,
I use photoshop to make the transparency. I select all white pixels and
delete, which makes them transparent when you use the PNG in other apps,
with the exception of Acad which seems to ignore the transparent color. Made
some little logos this way to use in PowerPoint and the transparency works
    fine.
