.plt size

Is there any way to cut down the on size of .plt files? I am getting 2 meg+
..plt's from a single 24x36 sheet.

Draw fewer objects on the sheet? Seriously, a .plt file contains what it
takes to "tell" the plotter what to print to the sheet. Assuming you're
using the proper driver for the plotter that will eventually be used for the
hardcopy, there's not much else you can do to reduce its size.
