.plt file has random text and line dropouts when sending to printing house

I sent our .plt files to an outsource printing house but they came back with missing text, missing lines - even a missing plan that was part of the same xref as the other plans (the other plans plotted fine).
I checked the usual culprits (noplot layer, etc.) but it plots fantastic on our HP DJet 430. I can even view the .plt on CompanionView and it looks fine.
    Any suggestions?

Your plot files must be compatible with the recipients plotter. Find out
what plotter they are using, and then set up a plotting profile just for
them. If it is not compatible, then you get what you described, missing
text, lines missing or not reproduced correctly, etc.

  3. If they are using Oce equipment with Reprodesk, then use one of
AutoCAD's own (hdi) drivers for an Oce machine (eg Oce 9800), not a
Windows (system) driver for a DesignJet.
