We are thinking of moving up to a new plotter, one of the laser units. There
are units with the software to print drawings sets, and much cheaper units
without this feature. Will the new sheet sets feature in AutoCAD 2005 do
this for me? If I select a sheet set, and tell it I want 5 copies, will it
automaticall collate the drawings, or will it print 5 of the first sheet,
    then the second, etc.?

  2. You cannot do this using the Publish command and print directly to a
printer. But you can publish a set of drawings to a multi page DWF file and
then print this DWF file to a printer. This will result in having all the
    sheets in the DWF collated.

When you request multiple copies from AutoCAD 2005 Publish, it will collate
the copies. Actually it plots each sheet to file once and then repeatedly
copies the plot files to the device in page order.

  4. I stand corrected.
I tried another printer and it's correct what Tim said. The set will be
collated when printing with publish or from SSM.
It just didn't work using Canon Page Composer. Actually it did work but the
    Preview didn't show it correct.
