I work in a University Student Computer Lab setting where we have been using an older HP350 inkjet plotter and sending plots through the Bentley driver. In the past we have had some issues with plotting/printing custom line styles created by our students and using the postscript driver. So we have forced all of our prints to use the HPGL driver and even A sized B/W prints come from our HP350. We are currently looking into a large format plotter (Epson Stylus 9600) that will have a postscript RIP installed ahead of it to support some of our graphics related classes. Has anyone had any experience with plotting through a postscript RIP? Custom line styles look fine? scaling is ok? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
