Plotting Error

  1. I need help in configuring system printers in AutoCAD 2000. When I use
the Add-a-Plotter Wizard to create a printer configuration (.pc3) file
for a system printer and attempt to use it I get the following error
    messages:

First Window: AutoCAD Error Test Failed
Second Window: AutoCAD Warning HP LaserJet 4M.pc3: This plotter
configuration cannot be used. Either the driver cannot be found, the
device cannot be found, or the driver has a problem. The None plot
    device has been substituted.

The .pc3 file is created but is unuseable. I get the same error
messages if I go into the system printers properties and try to attach
    a .pmp file.

I have the same problem with two different system printers, a HP
LaserJet 4M and an Epson Stylus Color 3000. Both printers are local
not networked. If I select a system printer it works fine except that
the printed image scale is incorrect because the printer is not
    calibrated.

I have deleted and reinstalled the .pc3 and pmp files many times and
the results are always the same.

The latest AutoCAD Service Packs and Plotting Patches are installed.

Any recommendations to correct this problem will be greatly appreciated.
