PLOTTING DWG VS. PLOTTING DWF

    using the same pen setting, i get different shades of gray.. anyone have an
    idea why?

  2. I would suspect that this is due to the fact that each option (DWF and DWG)
    has it's own pc3 file. The DWF uses an AutoCAD supplied DWF6 ePlot.pc3
    while your printer/plotter uses it's own individual PC3 file. The
    difference in the shades of gray could be caused by your plotters ability to
    handle graphics vs. the DWF's ability to better handle graphics.

    Check the options in both PC3 files and try to equal out the settings
    between the both of them. If that doesn't work you could copy a separate
    CTB/STB file and try to tweak it for your plotter to better represent the
    output of the DWF.

    Just a thought.
