Plotter Slow Down

    I'm running AutoCAD 2000i on W2k. I have a couple of HPLaserJet8000
printers hooked up to Windows 2000 server to be shared to my station. I've
added the plotters in AutoCAD using the HPLaserJet4MV HDI drivers.
Initially, the plot/pagesetup commands and whenever I switched between the
plotters would come up fast. But then as days past, the same commands
become slower and slower to the point where I would have to delete the
plotters and add them back from scratch. The problem would go away for
awhile but the slowness would occur again. This happens at least once a
month. This slowness doesn't occur with AutoCAD plotters that are
configured to use Windows printers. Any thoughts?

    According to Autodesk's recommendations.
