Plot to Scale

    I can't get my drawings to print to scale in ACAD 2004. When I select "Not to scale" the drawings print just fine but when I select for example 1/8"=1' and then I press print preview my drawing shows up as a small square in the middle of the page. How do I correct this? Any insight would be helpful. Thank you in advance.
