"plot to file" bug?

    vanilla AutoCAD r2005 SP1, WinXP Pro SP2

Create a PC3 file from one of your system printers, and set it to "plot to
file" ... Setup a new layout in an existing drawing using that PC3 file.

Now, choose the "plot" command and then "OK" ... it should bring up the
dialog where you choose the name and location to save your plot... choose a
name/location and let it create the PLT file. NOW, you should be back in
the layout ... Choose the "preview" command and then right click your mouse
    and choose "plot" .

Did your system bypass the "plot to file" option and send the print directly
to the physical printer that you created the PC3 file from? If not, that's
what mine does. It's driving me crazy that if I want to plot to file, i
MUST hit the plot command instead of the preview command. Is this a bug?
Is this by design? Anyone able to re-create this? Help please?

    TIA
    Trey

it's always nice to know that you can come here and at least get a response
to your post... even if it is a reply or two from the OP ... thanks
everyone for at least trying to reproduce the scenario to let me know if
    it's just me ...
