    - Plotting an image file (.jpg) 36" x 24" that is at 110dpi ( 6.4 MB file -- but balloons up to nearly 84 MB in the printer folder).

    - Plotting to a 1055CM (PS 3 Driver?) from Basic 512 MB / 1.7 G xeon system. ( Plotter is accessed off the Network - not Directly connected )

    - It takes nearly 45 - 50 mins to spool -- 10-15mins to print. So, on average, it takes nearly 1 hr. to Plot a Board. Is this normal? Should I be able Print faster? Or are my expectations too high? Thanks in advance!

Try to use the HPGL2 driver and NOT PS driver.
    You will be surprised...about speed.

There is no really need to use PS.
