Plot Merge with HP Design Jet 800

    I use LDT2004 and an HP Design Jet 800. Back in the day of using A2K, I
    would set my "lines merge" preference using HPCONFIG. My chosen setting
    would then become the default until the next time I needed to change it.
    Now, it seems I have to set my "lines merge" inside LDT, and my change will
    not become the default unless I choose to create a PC3. Is there a way to
    make my preference stick w/o creating a PC3?

    to my opinion, PC3 configurations are more stable (keep their settings, have more options). I would advise to start using them, but don't use the same PC3 between different Acad versions 2000i-2002-2004..
