Plot Logging in ADT

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Martin Schmid, Oct 6, 2004.

  1. We are demoing a printer that uses a PCL 5c driver... but Autocad doesn't seem to like it.. If we print w/ a PCL 5e driver, it works fine, but the 5c driver is real slow (i.e., (8) 11x17's = 10 minutes, vs. (8) 11x17's on the 5e driver is a matter of seconds).

The only reason I would stick to the 5c driver is the plot logging capabilities the manufactuer put into it.

Is there another way to log plots in ADT/ABS to a central location... i.e., so we know what job number, size, etc.?

    Thanks,
    MS

    Hi Martin,

Check out a product we make called Plot Minder (http://cadfx.com/pmind).

It lets you transparently track your plots to a central database. It even
automatically captures the correct job number. There is a nice Flash demo
    that highlights the product.
