When I make a plot file, doesn't this contain my ctb file with all my pen and weight settings? We use a reprographics company that will plot our bigger jobs and the settings never seem the same (appearance wise).

    Thank you,

  2. Depends on the driver that you use. But for most of the drivers for modern
printers/plotters line weights are stored in the files indeed. Many repro
companies use plot software that can use its own pen settings; this can
optionally override the values stored in the files. They can save settings
per customer. So the reason may be that they select the wrong settings when
they don't remember what they used for your earlier jobs.
