sorry folks, didnt know what else to call it.

i'm sweeping a circular profile along a curved path.. sort of like
a long curvy pipe. in fact, *exactly* like a long curvy pipe.

this is hypothetical, it won't be fabricated, but if it were, it would
be made of curved pipe segments that are bellmouthed at one end..
so one tube/pipe can fit in the next.

how can i model the bellmouths every, say, 20' along the path?
do i have to model this piece by piece? (this does not need to
    be an assembly)

    tips?
    thanks,

  2. Revolve one bellmouth at the first increment and array it. or Model one
complete pipe and array the body. If you do it the latter way you will be
able to use the split command to create an assembly from the separate
    bodies.

the pipes are not all the same curvature.
i'm assuming an array would create a series of
    identical pipes.

imagine, say, a paperclip. the first section could be straight,
the next bent 180deg.. but they'd both have to be bellmouthed.

even flanges would work (bolting).. essentially i'm trying to create
a repeating feature at set (linear) distances regardless of the curve's
    path.

  4. How about a curve driven pattern - seems that's just what you want to do?
