Pen assignments

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Justin Joshua, Jan 13, 2004.

  1. Wouldn't it be great if one could assign a pen setting to a vport instead
of a layout. Thus if you have different scaled drawings on a sheet they
    would correct.

If there exist a way of doing that, please let me know.

How will that help setting pen-weights in different viewports?

You can have multiple layers for the same object, so that in effect you
have two objects on top of each other. One is thawed in one viewport and
the other is thawed in the other viewport.

Set the lineweights in the Layer Manager dialog box by layer name, instead
of in the ctb file. In the ctb file use the lineweight by Object as it is
by default. The result will be that lineweights will be assigned per each
layer name rather then by the color of the object, or layer. This will give
you very similar results to that of using stb.

    Hope this helps.
