Is there a way to insert a PDF file into a AutoCAD drawing as a background? I have Acad 14 & 2002 with Adobe 6 Standard.

If you have Adobe Acrobat (not Reader) you can "saveas" to several raster
file formats which can be inserted into AutoCAD.

  3. Our commercial pdf2vector software batch converts PDF files to a
number of vector formats, now also to DXF for use in AutoCAD. It's
available in desktop, server and developer configurations on Windows,
    Linux and UNIX platforms.

Unlike raster images, the vector DXF output will be scalable and
    editable in the CAD package.

You are welcome to send me a sample PDF file via email for testing.
I'll send you back the DXF results for review.

  4. Check out the page http://www.output.tmfweb.nl/ and click the
GhostScript GUI link on the left. To use this program, you will need to
d/l and install GhostScript (http://www.ghostscript.com/) first.
