PDF problem

I am unable to create a pdf file using Autocad 8 mechanical desktop and
Acrobat 5. I have been through all of the procedures from Adobe and I still
cannot create the file. I get to the point where I am asked to give the
file a name. I see the plotter progress bar briefly and then it closes. It
does not look like it completes the process. It just goes away. No error
message, but no file. Thanks

I found out that the problem I was having was due to a bad install of Arobat
5.0 caused by Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition 8.1. In order to resovle
this it was necessary to turn off the virus scanner on the client PC,
uninstall the app and then reinstall. All of this must be done with the
virus scanner off. Once I reinstalled it with the scanner off, everything
seems to work fine.
