pdf plotting and naming convention

When plotting to a pdf distiller in R2002, the output files were named to
include tab names i.e. (layout 1), (layout 2), etc. Now, it seems, the
files are named according to the drawing name and I have to rename every
plot after the first layout is plotted. Is there a setting to change this
or is that an Acrobat setting?

Thought in R2002 you could plot all layouts in a drawing to a pdf file and
the files would be named something like
"drawingname_layout1"...."drawingname_layout2"... and so on. When plotting
to a printer you print all layouts (or however many you select) with one
plot. Why not the same with pdf? At a dozen or more layouts...
