.pat file problem

    I have few custom hatches. Some I can open and use, but some I can't. I have
    error saying "Error in Pattern File". Even if I make a copy of one which is
    OK (without open it or alternate it in any way), AutoCAD cannot open the
    copy. In the Customization guide they say all should be OK. I created a .pat
    file using their example - it didn't work. Of course I used Notepad to do
    that. What I'm missing?

    A common problem is not putting a return at the end of the last line in the
    file. Make sure your cursor is on the next (empty) line when you save it.
