i'd like to create a plot style table for a layout. ok. "pagesetup" gets me to a place to begin this, however, when i go to create a new plot style and it asks me to browse for a plot style table to modify, it doesn't even show the ones i've got. it's looking for a ctb or pcp file from long ago times. ummmm...2005 has color dependant plot tables and the pagesetup doesn't give me the option to modify these for my layout. what am i missing? i don't want to create a brand new one, just tweek one i've already got for this project. any help? thanks.

Could you be plotting from model space?... While all your page setups
are defined from layouts or paper space. Page setups only show for the
ps/ms environment they were created and saved in.

2005 paths shares your ctb files from your earilier version of Acad. I dont like the way it works cause I was constantly getting errors like you speak of.

What I did to solve this problem was go to tools>options>files>Plot Table Style Search Path> and modify the path to my AutoCAD 2005\Plot Styles directory (you need to copy and paste your ctb files to that directory). It might just be my own opinion but it seems that the other directory was causing this error cause it has not come up since. I like having everything where I am used too anyways.

well...i'm able to view the page setups, however, when i try to modify a plot style, the options it gives are "create a new ps", open a cfg or pcp from R14.

i'd rather not create a brand new one as we have set our plot style for our company and it would be nice to use it as a start point you know.

i'm confused, it sounded like it was going to be so simple in the help menu.
