Pads

  1. Hi to all,

    Can any person help me what is the reason to choose the pads of any
    circuit?

    Are you taking about the bonding pad? Bonding wire is to connect the
    pin on die to the pin on package. The bonding pad is a pad on die so
    you can bond your wire to the die.

    And pads for on-wafer probing to measure the circuit. There are two
    types: 1. The pads for DC probe; 2. The pads for analog or RF probes,
    this kind of pads should contain the ground besides, such as G-S-G
    pads (ground-signal-ground).
