Yes! Because that worked so well for clinton! Sudan offered him up to
us, and he refused because "we don't have a case against him." Screw
that. he'd already bombed our embassys. Bring the bastard in.

From the NYTimes, March 13, 2005
In the weeks after Baghdad fell in April 2003, looters systematically
dismantled and removed tons of machinery from Saddam Hussein's most
important weapons installations, including some with high-precision
equipment capable of making parts for nuclear arms, a senior Iraqi
official said this week in the government's first extensive comments on
    the looting.

The Iraqi official, Sami al-Araji, the deputy minister of industry, said
it appeared that a highly organized operation had pinpointed specific
plants in search of valuable equipment, some of which could be used for
both military and civilian applications, and carted the machinery away.

Dr. Araji said his account was based largely on observations by
government employees and officials who either worked at the sites or
    lived near them.
    ....
Dr. Araji's statements came just a week after a United Nations agency
disclosed that approximately 90 important sites in Iraq had been looted
    or razed in that period.
    ....
Satellite imagery analyzed by two United Nations groups - the
International Atomic Energy Agency and the Monitoring, Verification and
Inspection Commission, or Unmovic - confirms that some of the sites
identified by Dr. Araji appear to be totally or partly stripped
    ....
Dr. Araji said equipment capable of making parts for missiles as well as
chemical, biological and nuclear arms was missing from 8 or 10 sites
that were the heart of Iraq's dormant program on unconventional weapons.
    ==================
    So they were there apparently.

    Right?

the minority religious sect has been ousted from dictatorial power in a
    police state

many are ex army or ex police and want the Sadam style rule back with
all its corruption so they want to get their sleazy over priveleged life
    style back

It took millions of men to control Germany from 1945
    which Bush's advisrs conveniently forgot

Voting is today in Iraq and overseas centres for their expats
a full- term parliament that confirms their grip on power after decades
    of oppression.

The Sunni minority is keen to prevent a government dominated by
religious Shiites and a break-up of Iraq into autonomous Kurdish and
    Shiite zones.

lets hope it works out ok

Please do try to keep up.

The neocons broke the agreements with North Korea, just
like so many other international agreements, laws & treaties.
Nor is there any valid reason that the US should control
who can use nuclear power worldwide.

In point of fact, it could reduce greenhouse gasses, prolong
fossil fuel supplies and make a great market for goods
& services .... such as reactors, fuel, reprocessing, systems,
safety services, waste storage services, etc.

    Sort of like GI Insurance?
They kill a lot fewer than Israel, a declared terrorst State, does.
What do you suppose that they will do with those 5,000 "smart bombs"
that the neocons are giving them?
BTW, Who is the invader there?

A bit like China buying US plants & importing them as scrap?
What part of "dual use" was unclear?
The UN's inspectors and the US's had inspected ....
BTW, I used to work in Nuclear ... we had dual use cement
    sidewalks .....

They indeed did. What did you think upset North Korea so?
For the neocons breaking agreements, laws & treaties seems
to be priority #1. Well , #2, just after lying.

Some clearly need to pay attention to the actual news and
current events, not just Faux 'n Rush.
