Open source IC design flow book project

    I wonder.

Is there an elite crew of able & willing EDA, CAD, and design engineers
who would like to collaborate on an open-source IC design book project?

I, for example, have often voluntarily added entries to Wikipedia just
because I wanted others to benefit from the inclusions. There must be
others out there with similar desires.

The vision of an IC design book project would be to fully explain the
fundamentals of IC design without delving into the specifics of any
particular company's tool suite or IP. The benefit would be for
    everyone.

The goal could be to maintain that collaborative open-source book
(presumably electronically) with a small core of dedicated volunteers -
yet also encourage open-ended collaboration with the EDA vendors, IP
suppliers, and electronic design community at large

    QUESTIONS:
    - Do you know if/where this concept exists today in practice?
    - If not, is there an interest in pulling this book idea off together?
