Open dialog box and quick save are slow

    Specs:
    Dell GX110 Workstation - 512MB internal - 1Ghz - Local Lock - AutoCAD 2002 -
    NT4 Server

    We have the following problem: If we're opening a drawing from the network
    drive, it works just fine. But when we give the open command to open another
    drawing the problem begins.... it takes about 40 seconds to open the
    drawing. I analysed the network traffic with a sniffer and I concluded that
    the first 38 seconds nothing happened. Only at the last 2 seconds I analyzed
    the network traffic of the opened drawing. So opening (dialog box) has got a
    delay of 40 seconds and quick save has got a delay of 40 seconds.

    If I move the drawing to another file server (NT4), the problem seems to be
    solved. Any idea what the problem can be? Is it the hasp loader on the
    fileserver? I hope somebody has got a solution for me. There are 35 AutoCAD
    users who have this problem.
