I'm trying to implement on accessing the network license offsite by using
TCP/IP. We have a firewall and I've been reading the FlexLM manual about
opening the port 27000, but I get the error 1.5.-15. The network license
works locally. I'm using Autodesk Inventor 8. Is there something wrong with
    my settings.

  2. Richard,

Are you trying to share across raw internet or over a VPN connection?

I'm sharing it across DSL, if that is raw internet then yes.

    Thanks in advance.

  4. Richard,
Sharing across the raw Internet would have questionable reliability however
this is a moot point as the Inventor license agreement requires you to share
licenses only across privately owned and controlled networks. Your
alternatives are to consider establishing VPN service for your remote sites
or use license borrowing if the users visit your main site at least once a
month. Otherwise you will need dedicated licenses for your remote sites.
