Office 2007 & SW - Restating the obvious

    People,

Had several reference SW models from a supplier that contained design
    tables.
Every time I went to edit the table I got an application start failure
    notification box.
Creating design tables on my system was not a problem. Must have
something to do with the supplier files.
Turns out the other SW user updated to Office 2007 and the "new and
improved" Excel isn't compatible with older MS Office applications.

This includes the embedded Excel file used by SW. Any suggestions on
how to get around this other than having to update to Office?

What happens to the 100's of legacy SW models that I have tucked away
    in my PDM system.

Just another obstacle that has nothing to do with design getting in
    the way of my deliverables.

    Cheers,,

    Len

The legacy models should be OK. If you did them with an earlier version
of Office they are upward compatible. I haven't tried it here with SW
but in office 2007 you can set the save as to default to a 2000 or 2003
    version of Excel.
