oce tds600

I am in the process of purchasing 2 Oce TDS600 plotters w/ Repro Desk Server
for AEC software directly from Oce.
We run 21 seats of stand-alone AutoCAD 2002-2005 on Win2000pro and WinXPpro
over a Novell 6.5 network. This will be a huge change from our current
array of Calcomp DrawingMasters and HP DesignJets.
Anyway, I'm just wondering if anyone out there runs these Oces and what your
experiences have been with them.

 

We've been running a TDS 600 for about 3 years. The first one had constant
problems, (lemon?), and OCE finally replaced it. The second one has been a
real workhorse for the last two years with very few problems. Its speed is
fantastic for when you've got a lot of plots. Copies are very fast also.

Since you have Repro Desk, I hope you are using the free client tools,
http://www.oceplancenter.com/download.asp to generate LDF files that Repro
Desk will print in a WYSIWYP fashion.

 

Well we don't have Repro Desk Server yet, it's the software that the Oce
software engineer recommended for us. But thank you for the link.

 

We only have one of them, but our experience with it has been great (a
lot better than the oce9300 collecting dust in the corner).
