Does anyone have any experience or thoughts on Oce's new TCS400 series color printing/plotting system? Our current plotter is coming up due for replacement this year and the Oce looks like a good candidate. Thanks for any info.

  2. Well, I don't have one yet, however I have seen it in use and it does a good
job, great quality and with double the printheads and the memory storage
system that it has production is fast and efficient.

  3. In our tests ~ 1 year ago we found that it is ...

    - a productive plotter; the speed is comparable with the DesignJet 1050C,
but as you can plot to size (multi roll, no trimming needed if you select
the right paper widths) you can save time
    - a good quality plotter (but not very fast in the best quality mode)
    - a plotter that can handle huge plot files.
    - it had some problems with plot files made with DesignJet drivers (but that
is only relevant in an environment where you don't produce the plot data
yourself, as in a plot service - and I believe these problems are even fixed
    in the mean time)
    - it takes some time to get used to it, as it is not as simple to operate as
    a DesignJet
