Oce' plotters

We recently upgraded our OCE' plotter to a TDS 400. I cant remember the
previous OCE' nane that we had (it was 2 years older and 1 step down from
the TDS400). The only thing that changed was the driver. CTB stayed the
same.

My problem is now my shades are plotting with a scattered pattern instead of
a solid shade.

Has anyone encountered this?
Is there a system variable that I am missing?

We are getting our TDS 400 next week. When we started looking, we plotted
some PDFs and initially the quality of screens was attrocious. Eventually
someone at the shop who knows the device changed some settings (Lines/Text -
Fine - Poster was what we liked best). My hope is these settings are in the
device, not the driver, but we will be finding out soon enough. If you find
the answer, let us all know.
