Objects highlighted in 2006

There is a new feature in ACAD 2006 that when the cursor hovers over an
object the object is highlighted. This can be very helpful in assuring one
is choosing the desired object. However, it is causing major slow downs when
the cursor passes over large amounts of mtext. This is probably causing me
trouble because of the amount of memory on my video card (64 MB). If so, I
need to upgrade the card. As of yet, I have not found a variable that
toggles this feature off/on. Can anyone tell me how to turn it off?

    Thanks in advance

    Go to options\selection\visual effect settings

    Hope that has helped

That did it. Thanks. Looks like $$$'s are required to purchase a faster
    video card!
