Not printing to scale

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Hubert Fulenwider, Apr 5, 2004.

  1. Using an HP CP1700.
    Windows Printer

    XP Pro

When printing a drawing to scale (11x17 paper), I find that the 'X' axis is
off approximately 0.1" in 12". The 'Y' direction appears to be OK. What do
I need to do to make the printer print to scale? I need to drawings to be
1:1 as I use the drawings as templates for work I do.

If you DO select 1=1 as scale in the printer dialoque, then the only way is to calibrate your plotter/printer
But that is only possible with a plotter configured in AutoCAD using HDI drivers, i guess.

  3. I'm using the drivers which came with printer and there I can do
calibration. I just did it to see it working.

  4. Thanks for your input. After reading the information in the H E L P !!
files about calibrating the plotter I was able to accomplish same.
Sometimes it helps to read, eh?
