Need Help! I'm installing AutoCAD 2002 on a new XP SP2 machine. It's an upgrade from R14 and after the install completes and I've entered my serial number it does not generate a new request code so I can't complete the authorization of the product ??? Any ideas ?

What happens when you launch the product? Not all versions of AutoCAD 2002
    generate request codes.

I had a feeling you'd be first with a reply CY. Cheers! This is the first screen that appears when trying to authorise it. No request code, no old serial number. I install CAD alot and I haven't seen this before ? Any ideas ? Is it something to do with C-Dilla/Safecast?

OK; you're familiar with the process. I don't see an error yet. What
happens when you continue past this dialog?

    --Cy--

P.S. You shouldn't disclose your serial number to the public at large.

It doesn't look like a technical problem; instead, it seems like a policy
issue with your particular product license. In other words, there may be
some problem related to your old and new serial number.

  9. Registration error 2 means that this serial number is not found in DB, so
    please contact your reseller.

I my experience you will have to contact the reseller or distributor, sending an e-mail with the product details and information on what has happened to the existing license.
i.e. the machine was reformatted got new harddrive , got new machine etc.
The response time should be up to 1day but will come.
