No Plot for VP and Titleblock

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Jonathan Chertok, Jan 28, 2005.

  1. List.

I just ran a plot and get no VP's or Xreffed Titleblock to print.

Inserted info into paperspace seems to go however. Any ideas?

HP color inkjet CP 1700PS 12" X 18" sheets. Used to go fine on my older
deskjet. I budgeted some time to get the new printer up and running but lord
    almighty...

Also, can't I put viewports on defpoints and freeze defpoints? For some
reason when I put the viewports on defpoints and freeze them they don't show
up. Am I using them wrong?

  2. Hi Dean.

    Thanks a whole bunch.

First thing I did was I took the viewports off the defpoints and put them on
    my _NO PLOT layer.

Nothing printed. I'll keep working it this weekend, but sure is a kind of
    funny deal.

Love to get some suggestions from anybody.

  3. Hi Dean.

    I think I wasn't clear.

The viewport rectangles themselves go on a no plot layer that gets frozen
before I print. That way the rectangles around the viewport don't get
    printed.

The information in the viewport (in model space) should print however, in
addition to the xreffed titleblock. Does this not sound like an acad or
    plotstyle issue to you?

If that's the case, it would be interesting to know what else to look at...

  4. Hi Dean.

Doh. I've been messing with this new printer and accidentally inserted my
xrefs on the defpoints layer. Never ever really used the layer before, so I
guess I never ran into this. Thanks for all your help.

I know. Bonehead move. Now if I can get the plot size, orientation etc I'll
    really be rolling.

    Thanks again - I know, I know...
