When I select the plot option from the file menu and select a HP Business Jet 2600 from the list of available printers as soon as that is done the egg timer appears and nothing happens, after about a minute or so AutoCAD will close, no errors are generated and nothing prints out.

I have noticed that I am able to get one or two files to print, but the majority will not, but this only applies to this one printer, if I select a different printer they will print without issue.

Autocad has worked fine with this printer since it was installed several months ago, this is a new problem which appeared just yesterday.

Other users can print ok from AC to this printer, I used to print ok and I can print ok from other Applications. Even if I log onto the PC as another user it works fine!

AC has been removed and reinstalled, service pack 1 applied but still the same.

I have compared the files against each other to try and locate a possible reason why one prints and another does not, but there are no differences other than the actual drawing, besides which, all files printed ok previously. I have also ensured the print to file option is not checked.

    AutoCAD LT 2005 SP1 - Windows XP SP1 - HP Business Jet 2600 (networked)

    Any one able to help??

Do you use the actual networked printer to print to, or do you use a pc3
file stored locally on your machine? I would maybe remove that device from
the computer, and reinstall it along with the driver, and recreate any pc3
file linked to it on that machine.
