Hello all, I am a furniture design student with allot of AutoCAD experience,
and I am looking to take the plunge into the big leagues and learn a Solid
surfacing program. I got a hold of a copy of Solidworks 2003, and I am
looking for a website with tutorials or lessons.

thank you, and I hope I don;t bother you all with my lame newbie questions,
I know I shake my head sometimes reading the AutoCAD newsgroup.

    welcome birtch...newbies are ok here
there aren't that many tutorials around but there are some bits and pieces
    available at various sites
if you go to http://www.dimontegroup.com/tutorials.html you will find some
really useful PowerPoint presentations to help you with your interest in
surfaces- they are without the benefit of the commentary but you should be
able to understand the pearls of wisdom ....
    cheers

  3. Not a problem - we like newbies - they taste great. Sorry, couldn't
    pass that one up.

Actually, this is a great area for you because we all started some
time ago, and just about everyone here is willing to help. Just keep
in mind, that no answer doesn't mean nobody cares - sometimes there
isn't one. Have fun, and don't forget to bring the donuts next time.
    :)
