We just installed a network and the IT guys re-configured each station. The profile of the person I replaced was wiped out so when I try to start AutoCAD I get a message reading: FATAL ERROR: Invalid Configuration path\filename: C:\Documents and Settings\LT\Local Settings\Application Data\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2004\R16.0\enu\" The "LT" no longer exists. So what must I do to get it to work, reinstall? I tried retyping the new username in the *.cfg text file to no avail. Please help. Many thanks in advance!
Good luck Try to uninstall and clean up and reinstall. John Postlewait IS Department George Butler Associates, Inc.
Hmm, should be as easy as deleting Start > Run >Regedit: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD LT. When you start AutoCAD/LT again, a user-specific self repair will be triggered. I dont have LT installed so the path may be slightly off. Same thing works for AutoCAD 2004 and 2005 if you see configured paths that dont match the currently logged in user. Magic I tell you. -- Regards, Chris Dodge - Application Engineer Microdesk, Inc.
